Hajj and Umrah

The Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam. Every Muslim, who is financially and physically fit, should perform Hajj at least once in their lifetime. Around 2 million pilgrims visit Makkah every year for carrying out Hajj, and the gathering during this time is considered the largest annual gathering of people in the world.
The Umrah is considered to be a mini Hajj, which is a non-mandatory pilgrimage to Mecca performed at any time of the year. Even though the Umrah is not compulsory, it is highly recommended in Islam.
